AIR CONDITIONER
SOUND LEVELS
Two videos. One Midea and one Mitsubishi split system, each running under normal conditions. A light switch flicking so you can compare the two
Our air conditioner installations in Brisbane are by far the best. Quite often we get asked whether these units are noisy, and if it will wake the neighbours. I say that depends on your neighbours and then start waffling on about something totally unrelated and incredibly boring.
It’s best to just smile and tune out. Perhaps the easiest way to answer that question, is to watch and listen to this split system running at almost full power. Bare in mind this is the cheap one. Mitsubishi is even quieter. There is a complete chart at the bottom for more info.
Every year we install more air conditioners than just about any other company in Australia. Over 650 + just from September to March 2017. Then the same in 2018, and 2019. Then there was a rude interruption by our beloved big husband government who desperately needed to fill a quota set by the ADL. The boss of ACExpert made truthful allegations about the ridiculous levels of corruption in the Queensland legal system and.. Well. The answer lies in the PDF attached. Start around page 5.
After the significant business interruption in which two of my vans were stolen, along with all the tools, fuel, stock, and customers, I had to start over from nothing. Most amazing to me was that the cockroaches employed by the state of QLD wearing a certain uniform still call me to install their air cons and attempt to hide the fact that Ian Leavers is their union rep. They should be aware that I miss nothing. And keep detailed records.
HOW LOUD WILL YOUR NEW AIR CONDITIONER BE?
HOW LOUD IS IT?
By watching these videos you will know exactly how loud your air conditioner will be. On the left is the 7kw MHI, and the right is a Midea 7kw. The MHI is rated at 46 dB and the Midea at 67dB, but can you really tell the difference? Twenty dB difference you would think significant, but apparently not. Perhaps its time for a new sound scale. I propose we now measure noise levels in sW. (Screaming Wife)
As you can see the Mitsubishi on the left max’s out at 0.12 sW while the Midea on the right is just slightly higher at 0.15 sW Either way, you’re far better off marrying one of these air conditioners. If only they could drive us home from the pub all our logistical problems would be solved. I will put a technical request in to MHI today.
AIR CON NOISE SHOULD BE AS FAINT AS A SQUIRREL FART ON THE AUTUMN BREEZE
